Candlemaking or cashmaking as I like to call it

Make candles. Yep you can make great money just by making and selling home-made candles. This one requires a little more money upfront than the dog walking biz. But you can make a lot more money by making candles.

Step 1:

First you’re going to need to find out how to make the candles. This is very easy to do, just type into google - how to make candles. You should find a couple great websites that will teach you for free!

Step 2:

Now your going to need the materials for making the candles. You can get these for cheap from arts and craft stores like Michaels. Online suppliers are another great way to get the materials.

Step 3:

Start making them candles. Once you have a bunch in stock your ready to start selling them! Go to your local churches and community centers and ask them when they will be having any trade shows. You could even just ask them where you could sell them. Churches are always having some type of arts and crafts convention. If not then they'll be more than happy to give you some place to sell them.

Step 4:

While selling the candles make sure your prices aren't too high or low. Make sure you are making more per candle then you spent on the materials and time/labor. Don't sell yourself short.

Summary:

You may think this isn't a very good way to make money but there are always arts and crafts meets, where people are looking to buy hand-made good. My friend Went to one of these events with like 4 boxes of candles, I think he made like a hundred or so and he left there with around $400. And it only takes a couple hours to sell them! But some of you just won't have that artistic touch, but if you do take advantage of it because it’s another great way for teens to make money.
